Found in Alajuela, Puntrenas and Heredia provinces of Costa Rica, Chiriqui and Darien provinces of Panama, Antioquia, Choco, Tolima, Nariño and Cauca departments of Colombia and Esmeraldas province of Ecuador at elevations of 350 to 1750 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with slender stems and ovate leaves. flowers form on a short 2-5″ spike carrying multiple purple flowers.
