Oophaga pumilio “Boca Colubre “

These are a relatively new addition to the collection, acquired as juveniles in mid 2020 the tiny reddish froglets  have grown they have become a firm favourite, striking colouration to rival our Blue jeans. These youngsters are the first few from our pairs.

(All frogs are collection only, main image shows one of our adult frogs.)

Distribution: The exact origins of theis morph is not entirely clear some believe its location is near the location of the Rio Colubre morph whilst others believe it is somewhere closer to the Aguacate peninsula, Bocas del Toro, Panama.

Habitat: Secondary forests and altered habitats.

Origins: CB Sept 2021 here at Fantastic frogs.
