Description

The Italian fire salamander is a striking species  famed for its large high yellow irregular spots and blotches on a glossy black back ground, this species is usually more yellow than black. At 19-20cm these are large salamanders for a European species, for us they combine a strong aposematic pattern just like our beloved dart frogs but unlike the frogs they require much lower temps meaning they require no additional heating, in fact for large parts of the year they can even be maintained in secure enclosures outside , even in the Mountains of North Wales.

These are offered as CB2020/21 sub adult to adult pairs.
