An unusual miniature between air-plant and rosette shapes. Dark leaves develop a crisp, wavy texture in cool, very humid conditions.

In your tropical vivarium: Use a sheltered mount in a cool tropical cloud-forest vivarium. This specialist needs high humidity with airflow and temperature control, rather than a hot, constantly wet position.

Care essentials: Filtered light, cool conditions and high humidity. Keep the base airy and monitor it closely while it establishes.

Also at home: Grow in a cool, ventilated plant cabinet or specialist terrarium. An ordinary dry room is unlikely to provide enough humidity.
