Small orchid, plenty of flower appeal. This compact Oncidium hybrid suits a bright, ventilated display where its roots can dry slightly between waterings.

In your tropical vivarium: Mount on cork or a branch at viewing height in your tropical vivarium. Keep the roots exposed to moving air, with space for new growth and flower stems.

Care essentials: Bright, filtered light, humidity and good airflow. Water thoroughly, then let the open root medium begin drying before watering again.

Also at home: Pot in a small draining orchid pot with an open bark mix. Give bright, indirect light, added humidity and airflow indoors.

Plant details: Supplied in a 9cm pot. Yellow- or white-flowering plants are selected at random.
