Epipedobates anthonyi
This highly adaptable and easy to breed poison frog, could easily be called a beginners frog, but the variety within the species mean some localities are much harder to establish. Luckily these ones are bullet proof! A long captive population originally from a Santa Isabella line.
Distribution: Found in Santa Isabel region of Ecuador close to tributaries of the Giron River.
Habitat: Often encountered in dry forests and even semi arid areas where they seek refuge in the water holding vases of Puya bromeliads.
