Start small and plan for a statement plant. Philodendron gloriosum develops large foliage from a creeping stem, so give it room at ground level.

In your tropical vivarium: Use a broad foreground or side pocket in a spacious tropical vivarium. Let the creeping stem travel along the substrate surface and leave room for much larger leaves.

Care essentials: Bright, indirect light, humidity and airy roots. Keep the creeping stem above the mix and avoid waterlogging.

Also at home: Pot in a wide, draining container with a chunky mix, leaving growing room along the surface.
