Oophaga cf pumilio “Escudo de Veraguas” koi
The frogs from Isla Escudo de Veraguas are small and possibly not even O.pumilio but their own species. One of the most desirable of small Oophaga our groups have just started to produce young again after a bit of a break.
Distribution: Found only on Isla Escudo de Veraguas off the coast of Panama, it is the mopst southernly island within the Bocas Del Toro archipelago.
Habitat: Primary forests and mangrove edges. Humidity levels remain high for much of the year.
