A fern with a textured leaf surface. Crocodyllus builds a leafy rosette from creeping rhizomes, adding a bold green layer.

In your tropical vivarium: Guide the creeping rhizome across wood, cork or a textured background in your tropical vivarium. Keep the rhizome on the surface, rather than buried deeply.

Care essentials: Filtered light, humidity and airflow. Keep attached roots moist but aerated, with water able to drain away.

Also at home: Grow in a shallow draining pot or on a mount within a humid indoor display, with space for the rhizome to spread.

Plant details: Supplied in a 7cm pot.
