Fine fronds for a softer green layer. This fern from the Mascarene Islands adds delicate foliage around larger-leaved plants.
In your tropical vivarium: Use a sheltered pocket around wood or rock in your tropical vivarium. Let the fronds soften the hard edges, keeping the growing crown clear of buried substrate.
Care essentials: Filtered light, humidity and gentle airflow. Keep the root zone evenly moist with good drainage, avoiding both drying out and stagnant water.
Also at home: Pot in a draining container in a bright, humid room or plant cabinet. Keep out of harsh sun and away from radiators.
